WEEKEND CONTEST is now over!!

Thanks everyone for all your entries. After a very official random number drawing we have chosen...... you ready.... drum roll please....

Country Girl's the winner!!! Whoo Hoo....and the crowd goes wild. Not that you're not all winners because after all .... you were let in on a little PW recipe secret and we do love you all.

So what does Country Girl do on a leisurely day?? Here is her answer

Hanging with my husband, being outdoors, taking pictures, working on them in Photoshop. He can bring me drinks, too. I like drinks.

Honestly... we didn't pick her because she likes a good cocktail or glass of wine however it didn't hurt her chances. Country Girl also has a very beautiful website with great photos. Check it out! Chronicles of a Country Girl

Stay tuned for the next give away. We're thinking maybe a bag of Whidbey Island sand... or better yet a lovely collection of Beach Shells!

Porkin, Piggin & Poppin
To fortify us this week we tried PW Apple Dumplings.

Cant' go hikin with out a little butter & sugar.

We tried them that mornin , we tried them again later that night and again the next mornin ... how many apple dumplins does that add up to??? And even as we speak I'm sewin the top button of my stretchy black pants ...

Everyone loved them and you must try these.....

PW is on to somthin and it's not FAT FREE! Viva la Butter

Just know there are consequences to eating more than just one.

Perfect day of leisure? Sleeping in late, having coffee and homemade crepes for breakfast that I do not have to make or clean up after, reading my book on the hammock out back with it being slightly overcast (so the sun does not shine too brightly in my eyes), having dinner miraculously appear on the table, then going for a quiet evening stroll.

I love getting up early for a weekend... 7am or so. Going out to the orange tree and plucking a few of those juice oranges. Then poached eggs in an egg cup with toast soldiers. Watching Sunday Morning on CBS
You asked!!!

Not having anything special to do or anyplace special to go. That leaves endless possibilites

I found your site via P-dubb. Are you two a couple?

I love a good sneaky afternoon nap on Sunday - got to do it while you can, right? Best feeling in the world! And then you wake up all shaky because your sugar is too low and you have to (insert rubber arm here) have a cookie to get you back on track for the rest of the day!

Hmmm...about 3 months ago BEFORE my first baby was born, I loved to sleep in late next to my hubby, wander to the kitchen for some french toast, then spend the day watching movies. NOW, I love to hang with both my babies - my husband and my daughter!

My favorite thing is having a nice breakfast, reading the paper, then heading off to the barn to ride my horse. If I don't have to make dinner, that's a bonus. If my 6 yr old plays over at a friend's house all day, then it's a wonderful mental vacation all around.

After sleeping in, having a bubble bath with a good book in hand...

I love to go shopping for a great pair of shoes.

And I'd love to end the day with any of Pioneer womans yummy desserts... as my kids say, "They're the bomb baby!"

yep... I think that's how I'd remember my perfect day...but it's been so long since I've had one, I'd settle for any day that included one of the above.

Seriously, who wants to get up early if they don't have to? I'm forced to get out of bed at a certain time 5 days a week, so on my days off I sleep until I can't sleep no more. Just when the bed starts to hurt my back, and no position is comfortable anymore, then I know it's time to get up. After getting dressed and ready, I make some coffee to go and I'm off to my knitting group to gossip and knit with the girls, then it's usually a nice dinner out with my hubby. Too bad I have to go home and do all my laundry afterwards.

I like to lie on my hammock with the dog underneath and read. No music, no kids, no noise. Just peace and quiet.

It's wonderful to not be in a hurry. I love to sip a cup of coffee, talk to my hubbie, have more coffee, pet the cat, read the paper, laugh with the kids, and just sit and think.

I like waking up and greeting my dogs with 'puppy kisses', try to read the local paper and eat an eclair, take my dogs out to the park to play (burn off some calories), have a picnic around a lake, then waste away the rest of the time in a warm tub or jacuzzi drinking pina coladas.

Coffee! Did you say free coffee? Awesome! I like to spend my down time going to a movie, or the book store, or for a drive. In fantasy land, my perfect day would be someone else would clean the house, make me breakfast, bring me coffee, fluff my pillows and tell me I'm beautiful first thing in the morning. (Hey! a girl can dream) :)

Best leisure day is spent working on a quilting project and ordering out Chinese food at the end of the day! Add a glass of wine and it's just about perfect.

My perfect day of leisure would be getting up early with the sun shining brightly, making a great pot of joe and go out and sit on my dock to read the morning paper. After, and while i go for a nice jog on the trail, i would have hubb-o make breakfast to be ready for when i get back. The rest of the day would consist of playing outside in my back yard, gardening, sunning and hearing the laughter of my Oliver. I would love to smoke something in my electric smoker for dinner such as a pork butt or salmon. The evening would be sitting on the deck eating a great meal, having a glass of wine then possibly a jump into the hottub (depending on the weather!) In bed by 10 to finish the night off by 20 minutes or so of reading.... then snooooze.

Perfect weekend is hanging out in the woods, doing some four wheeling trails and having a nice big fire at the end of the day with all my friends!

Living on a farm doesn't leave much "leisure" time. But it's a great day when I have time to play with my llamas.

Yay! I won. And here it was because I thought you liked cocktails . . . not really.

THANKS SO MUCH, ISLAND GIRLS!
