Oh, I used to live on Whidbey. I miss the PNW tremendously, but West Marin, California is really beautiful too. I wouldn't mind some of the rainfall down this way, we have been having smoke haze for a week. I know that smoke haze is better than having the actual fire. I ache for what the rest of the summer will be like here.

Thank you for some photos of home.

I love your site I check it several times a day to see what you have come up with. You should write a book your write so well.
I also lived on the Island I graduated way back in 74..and couldn't wait to move to the big city. Looking back I think that was totally an 18yr old decision.
You pictures make me miss the Island and the small town feeling.
Your pictures of Europe are great.
I was lucky enough to go last summer with my daughter and looking at your pictures brought back memories.
Enjoy this beautifil sunshine up there on the island.

LOL. Finding the perfect promise was obviously a crucial part of this post, so I'm pretty sure the calories didn't count, don't worry! Gorgeous photo! =)

I also used to live in Oak Harbor..graduated in '89. Haven't been back for a long time..maybe I'll make it to my 20 yr. reunion next year ;)
I had forgotten how amazing the island really is..although I'm not sure that I ever really appreciated the beauty of it when I was 16! I do remember there were so many gorgeous places to drive to..and fun places like Fort Casey. Anyway, I like your site!

You need to go to your reunion!!! Don't let seeing old friends slip by for any reason.
Also a good excuse to come back to Whidbey.

Warm Wishes!

Ha! Laughed out loud when I read that it was a Dove Chocolate Promise. And who cares how many? You'll walk it off on the beach.

Really lovely photo, BTW. Am jealous!
